Firstly let us explain what causes acid in the body and why it is stopping YOU losing body fat…
Acidity is not a new concept. Dr Otto Wallberg, a Nobel Prize winning author, discovered that cancer, and all viruses leading to disease and sickness, cannot live in an oxygen rich environment. Back in 1933, Dr William Howard Hay in his book – New Health Era maintained that all disease is caused by autointoxication, or self poisoning, due to acid accumulation in your body. More recently, Dr Theodore in his book “Alkalise or Die” stated that “the countless names of illnesses do not really matter. What matters is that they all come from the same root cause – too much acid waste in the body”.
Dr Lynda Frassetto, an acid alkaline researcher from the University of California, says that our bodies do not handle acid waste the way they did previously. Her research showed the sheer volume of acid waste our bodies must handle has
forced them to take drastic warlike action to preserve our major detoxification organs the kidney and liver. Her study of 100 ageing subjects showed that we are now stockpiling acid in fatty deposits rather than eliminating it via kidney and
liver functions!! Dr Frassetto discovered that our bodies will dump this toxic waste in fatty deposits as far away as it can from the organs and the heart e.g. the buttocks, the chest, the thighs and the stomach. Author and Research Scientist
Dr Robert Young wrote that he sees “sugar as an acid and as the reason we are so fat”.
The Health Solution
Therefore, if we need to reduce the acidity in our body and make our bodies alkaline, how do we do it? The human body can become acidic through poor diet, stress and worry, lack of exercise, lack of water, smoking alcohol, prescription and non prescription drugs, lack of sleep & constipation. It is almost impossible to stop your body becoming acidic at times, however there are many ways to reduce your acidic level and get your body more alkaline.
Matt Thom and Monica Wright have produced a user friendly “day by day” training and food management program based upon making your Body Alkaline and not Acidic called the “84 Day Body Challenge.” It’s a program they developed, that not only assisted them to achieve a combined 11 times Fitness World Championship titles, but has helped their team at Fitness Kick at Flemington, successfully transform over 1,000 bodies.
So the SECRET to a great body is revealed…
Get the body alkaline and your body will start to let go of FAT.
Acid Build Up in the Body;
The Big 10 Causes
1. Poor Diet
A poor diet is one that includes lifeless, processed, over cooked, low fibre, or fried foods. This type of diet sets the stage for intestinal problems and lacks the fibre or bulk to assist in proper elimination of toxins. Did you know that a glass of soft drink is almost 50,000 times more acidic than water? And 32 glasses of water are needed to balance one glass of soft drink? If you do not eat any green leafy vegetables high in chlorophyll or highly alkaline foods such as fruits, vegetables, spinach, broccoli, and almonds, or if you do not use whole food supplements such as wheat grass, spirulina or barley grass on a daily basis, then you are at risk of being acidic.
2. Stress and Worry
Stress, whether physical or mental, creates more acid. An ulcer is a perfect example of what can happen in a body suffering from excess acid. Under tension we burn more nutrients in a short period of time, creating a lot more wastes than the body can dispose of. For this reason, stress is known to speed ageing. Stress affects every cell and tissue in the human body. Studies conducted on the effects of stress on the human organism and its functions keep showing that the link between the mind, stress, and disease are undeniable. Immune response lowers, and the functions of all major organs are affected negatively. Stress robs the body of important vitamins and minerals, and over time, this can cause severe acid build-up.
3. Over-Consumption of Food
Over-eating puts a great amount of stress on your digestive system. Your body must produce hydrochloric acid, enzymes, bile, and other digestive substances to break down a meal. When we over-eat, the digestive system cannot always meet the demands placed upon it. The stomach bloats as the digestive system goes into turmoil. Foods are not properly broken down and tend to lodge in the lower intestines, and vital nutrients are not absorbed. Many people eat
their largest meal at dinner time. However, this should be the lightest meal of the day. The human body uses sleep to cleanse, repair, rebuild, and restore itself. When a person goes to sleep with a full stomach, the body is not at rest. It is actually busy digesting and processing a large amount of food. This inhibits the vital cleansing, building, detoxification, and restorative processes that normally occur while you are asleep.
4. Lack of Water
Water is second only to oxygen in order of importance to sustain life. Water cleanses the inside of the body as well as he outside. It is instrumental in flushing out waste and toxins. When your body is not receiving enough water, toxins tend to stagnate, hindering all digestive eliminative processes. When you are dehydrated you will crave acidic foods, especially sugar.
5. Lack of Exercise
Exercise stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems and improves the functioning of the nervous system, glands, lungs, heart, and brain, and helps to build muscle. Blood is pumped throughout the body by the heart, but the lymphatic
fluid depends solely on movement of muscles to be circulated. Lack of exercise lowers metabolic efficiency, and without circulatory stimulation your body’s natural cleansing systems that eliminate toxins are weakened. Lack of flexibility and
movement allows for negative energy and toxins to accumulate in various parts of your body, allowing toxicity to build up.
6. Smoking
If you haven’t done it already, now is the ideal time to give up smoking. Tobacco is full of up to 200 toxic chemical compounds that can impact your thyroid health and overall well-being. Smoking weakens the immune system and damages the respiratory system, making it harder to breathe and decreasing the amount of oxygen in the body. This creates an acidic internal environment.
